    Hi all,

This is my first post and I am an absolute beginner, so hello & thank you in advance for any help.

I started to sort through a mixed collection of coins today belonging to a family member. It was all just in a box & not organised and I started making a list on Excel of what there is. So far I haven't spotted anything rare but have barely made a dent in the collection and I'm enjoying the process so why not...

Anyway, I have come across what could be a coin but I have absolutely no idea? Its round and has a square punched hole in the center and multiple random holes around the outside no visible text or symbols. Just wondered if anyone knows what it might be, is it even a coin, or perhaps some kind of token... or something modern?

Even if you know of somewhere I could research it further that would be a great help, thank you again :)

I'm afraid I can't help you, but welcome to the neighborhood just the same.

If you don't get any help here, you might try posting it in the foreign coins forum.

Haha thats hilarious! Thank you all so much for your help. It had me completely baffled.

I've now finished going through the brass coloured coins but still have the bronze and silver (the largest portion) to go through. Yey -I love organising things!
