Great write up. Glad you had a good show....weather....food, etc. I was there a few hours Friday. It was my first National show. Quite overwhelming for me.
Hope you share some pictures of the 1/2 cent and large cent collection you picked up. Half cents are one of my favs.

Loved the post! Always a fun read and gets me excited for the next show I plan to attend. I cannot believe I missed this show! Especially seeing the discussion from the founders of Heritage. I've been seeking to meet them. Also really cool seeing a 1943 Bronze Cent!

As always, it's fun reading your write-ups as it's more than just coins. It's the "lifestyle" of coin collecting and the travels that I enjoy even more.

Great report Charmy! I'm glad you found (or took) the time to take some pictures. I couldn't get my loupe away from my eye long enough to do so. We stayed at the Omni as well and looking at your view we were on opposite sides of the hotel.

Great recap of the coin show.
The WS folks let me in free! I posted a few pics in the ancients thread - https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ana-finds.275701/
You could have purchased a kids book, Little Zombie Dorian, and gotten an autograph from the author and his daughter the main character.

Great pics and write-up....did your cents collector target the AU-58 grade for any particular reason ? Did he want to go into the MS low-60's for cost or aesthetic reasons ?

Will you sell off the entire collection or piece-meal ?

An article, on Coin Update, was stating that attendance and business at the show wasn't all that great. Less dealers than previous shows, no international dealers, less sales, etc. However the author indicated that he felt this was more due to the current state of the "coin market" as opposed to the dealer costs for attending the show. In the end it's all relative I suppose. Some dealers might have had great sales and others not so much.

I'll be going to the Anaheim show in August and can't wait!! It's fairly local to me so don't have to worry about paying for a hotel. Just gas, food, parking & of course coins!! :)

I saw charmy's humongous multi capped die splash at long beach. It's a sight to behold and having ngc ribbon label a golf ball case just adds a layer of coolness imo. It's a cool piece!
