For all those little pet-peeve, annoying and ignorant things you see while looking at coins on eBay. I'll start with the type of thing that inspired me to create this thread: Dear eBay coin sellers, please note that coins from Mexico are not "South American". Likewise, please note that coins from India are not "Middle Eastern". Thank you kindly.
"Dear Ebay coin sellers, please deorbit your camera before shooting your coin. Your images are the size of a bacterium."
"Dear eBay seller: When you see the word 'COPY' stamped on the back of a coin, you probably shouldn't be selling it as the real deal."
Dear eBay seller, Stop putting characters other then letters and numbers in your listings. It does the opposite effect that you want.
Dear eBay sellers, please note that when you grab a fistful of random coin-related words and toss them into your auction title, you should make sure they don't contradict one another. It makes it difficult to determine what you're actually selling. 1 Random Date Indian head penny Copper Wheat One US Cent.
Dear ebay seller, Just because it's the Internet and you don't have to look me in the eye, that doesn't mean it's OK to lie to me. If you do a poor job of listing your item and I win the auction for less than you believe your item is worth, don't lie to me and tell me it was sold locally, while simultaneously relisting the exact same item...
Dear Ebay seller, Don't take offense when you overprice a coin and someone makes you a reasonable offer. And don't let the offer expire without a response, it's rude.
Dear ebay seller, Please stop using KEY DATE CHOICE GEM BU UNC MS++++++++++ PQ PL DMPL LQQK RARE in listing titles.
Dear Ebay sellers, don't post 2 different coins with 2 different slabs...they are not the same. Today... http://www.ebay.com/itm/161997118046?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Dear eBay Seller: If you expect me to spend over $300 on a coin, I expect you to supply focused photos showing the details and surfaces of the coin.
Dear eBay seller: it's not a NAZI GERMANY RARE SWASTIKA MS+++++++ CRIMSON RED WOW HITLER BID NOW... it's simply another rusty copper Pfennig from 1939 with a mintage in the millions... thanks for all the marketing around it, but no thanks.
Dear EBay seller: If you think your coin is PL, DPL or DMPL, and it is not attributed, send it to a TPG for a regrade. When I sell it, the buyer ain't going to care what premium I paid because you thought it's something it's not. Also, there is no such thing as semi, near or almost PL, DPL or DMPL. A miss is as good as a mile.
Dear eBay sellers, Be prepared to be asked stupid questions and deal with at least 1 non-paying bidder a month.
