I don't normally collect that many quarters. As my addy implies, I definitely do Morgan dollars. However, in looking at some coins, I found this Washington that just appealed to me in the right way. Its was the year my parents got married. Low population, only 26 with the plus grade, and difficult to find in MS 67. Sooooooo, jumped on it for a reasonable price:

Not a big fan of the obverse toning, and toning normally doesn't turn me off no matter how ugly...but, if you like it, that's all that really matters. Would u care to divulge the purchase price for us?

Same year my parents were married. :)

Pop 26/12 with the "+." Conditional Rarity is Conditional Rarity, and well-bought if the price appealed. Of course, you're now committed to finishing the MM set in that grade.... :)

Pops from the other mints are similar, so it should be doable.

Nice. I spent years putting a Dansco together of walking Liberty halves along with collecting the special silver eagles the mint puts out. After I finished the halves I wasn't sure where to go next but I have started picking up some 32-64 quarters.

That is my plan--to get all the mints in that year as at least MS 66 or 66+ with some subtle toning. I happen to like that soft album toning quite a bit. Apparently, CAC agrees. :)

Nice Washie Morgandude11. While I don't collect the series, I see the eye appeal in your coin.

Too bad the Mint wasn't making proof sets in 1948. You're putting together a nice tribute to them.

Here is one to go with the 1948-P. It isn't a + grade, but still fairly low population. I think this one would have a good shot at a green bean as well. Just got this baby, and have one that is the S mint on the way:

Just got word that the 1948s is shipping from David Lawrence. Here is the third member of the set of 3. Also a 66, not a plus, but really nice toning, and CAC with reasonably low pop. These are David Lawrence's pictures, until it arrives: 48s.jpg 48srev.jpg 48sslab.jpg
