    It's real unless it's imaginary. However it is most likely not authentic.

    So something can be both real and fake. As long as it is not imaginary. Unless in your imagination it is real. Then it can be all three.

    It maybe silver looking but there are many reasons a penny may appear silver such as plated, struck on wrong planchet or foreign planchet but without pictures ones only left to guess.
