Another US based Ebay seller selling Chinese counterfeit/ replicas!! Somebody needs to ring his neck!! Not really, but this is the type of stuff that ruins the hobby and scares buyers away from Ebay! You would think the bay would pay a couple of coin collectors to watch their coin sales. Not only that, if you gotta buy stuff from China, go ahead. Just don't buy counterfeit coins to ripoff fellow Americans!!! Argh!!! 838.gif

Listed in Tokens-Other category, clearly says its reproduction/not real. I can not see any problem with this listing. Some people might like this kind of novelty.

Saying that THIS is what ruins the hobby and scares buyers away from ebay is an exaggeration to say the least. Personally I am more worried about massive amounts of fake Russian Empire coins from 1700s-1800s.

Fretboard - why (would eBay pay somebody to police the listings)? All it does is cost them money in that person's salary and lost sales fees. Get real.

I've never liked this sort of crap, but nowadays this could quite reasonably be placed into the "fantasy" category. If a certain someone produced the same type of thing, even unmarked, all sorts would ohh and ahh over it. Once that line is crossed, there is no going back. What's good for the goose....
