    Ridiculous....

    I used to have one as my avatar that was given to me in change as a dime. Burned my.... to have been ripped for 10x. ;)

    Yep, plating covers up a bunch of crap but I was considering the steel cents that are so rusty they won't even be worth their face value. At least wire wheeling them and getting them plated for a buckle or necklace can make a few dollars

    I'm sure it could be done and someone probably has, but more often than not they seem to be processed as-is. Unfortunate really, as for not a great deal more (than, say, Tommy's Littleton example) nice solid originals could be had instead.
