I don't know much about iconology, but you have a nice coin.

I do not know the crescent meaning but the K is from ET K or year 20.

There are so many marks on ancient coins that we cannot decipher, but my question is: are there different marks that occur in the same location on the same series? Because that would suggest mint controls that differentiate different emissions.

    answer from BM
With Greek numerals, you sometimes get a line above the numeral - their way of showing it was supposed to be a number and not a letter.

I think that's probably what is happening here, though indeed it does seem more crescent-shaped than line-shaped.
