I decided to take my Franklin's out of their plastic holders and put them into a Dansco album. I was looking at each of the coins as they have been put away for years . and found a few nice RPM's here's the 1949 S
In that ballpark.....this set was put together back in my teens. I was just interested in an unc. set as I had a circulated set. Only working part time to fund my habbit.
Good Lord!!! Out of 35 Franklins you found 4 RPM's??? WOW!!! That has to be the best percentage group of cherries that I've ever heard of!!! Fun looking pieces and neat RPM's!!!
One more to post an 1958 D RPM 001. I found about 90% of my Mint marks in this set to be rpm's. no they aren't the best grades but I like the fact that just about every MM is a repunch.
No there were more than 4 like 90 % of the M/M were rpm's . I didn't want to bore posting them all. Now their in their new home and hopefully will get some color to them.
A question on this 1961 proof Franklin date.....since I can't find an image of a 61 ddo don't the numbers look split?
Well yes it is a ddo now I need to figure out what one, found the same style date on Franklin lovers Web site but there are like 4 listed to ID mine. Cool find though
I found it.....it's an Pr DDO-009 Description: medium spread on LIBERTY, date, TRUST, and JRS (initials); light tripling on IN GOD WE Markers: Stage A -EDS Stage B -obverse and reverse are MDS -die gouge just below the upper curve on S of TRUST Stage C -LDS Cross Reference: -PR-9-O-II-C (3) -DMR-011 -PDDO-005 Reported By: Timothy Wissert Population: 1 -(1) PR65
Well that was fast, there was no way you were gonna go to sleep tonight w/o attributing that coin 1st huh? LoL
Thanks for the link buddy......maybe I should do some more safe diving tomorrow and see what's down the bottom. And yeah I had to figure it out......
Don't you believe it...... I can remember the days I fall asleep on a bar stool . My friend had a warped sense of humor they would move me from Charley's West side Annapolis to Pier 7. And wake me up for last call with a bar bill.
