I see a bit of "something" at the date but need a close up (clear) of just the date.

Hey Frank, Even though my eyes are not all that great, there appears to be some spread in the 8 & 5. I'm not really up on these though. Thanks for that info though.

Need a better closeup of the date. It might be a repunched date, as this coin has several known.

 

I can't see anything on the date, but the wear pattern is interesting. Is it a misaligned die strike or slightly off center or something else?

 

Maybe a misaligned. Look at the 8 & 5, it looks kinda squished.
