Just saw these groupings on e-bay if anyone is interested. Experts, let us know if there are any problems. http://www.ebay.com/sch/rustyromans...4WIAAOSwll1W0PGW&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
I haven't bought ancients for over 40 years, and feel at sea when considering trying to get back into that area. These are certainly reasonably priced. But what do you ancients folks think? Steve
They're all very common coins, mostly in F, with a few VF coins thrown in to sweeten the pots. The prices are right. They're good lots if you're a hoarder that prefers many coins in lower grades to a few coins in higher. But there's nothing special.
I thought I remembered some posters just getting started with ancients who might appreciate some of these.
certainly some lots are better than others. there are some nice high grade coins mixed in, which just require a few hours with a scalpel under magnification to really get them spot on. look for dirt which sits on top of an unblemished surface which looks solid. I can see some real potential in some there.
I agree with the consensus---they appear to be reasonably priced lots for the type and grade....and I'd take advantage of the 'best offer' option----I've reduced the cost many times by doing so...
I passed on the coins, but I jumped on the sweet coin collecting jacket!! http://www.ebay.com/sch/rustyromans...=item5b20e8780c:g:4WIAAOSwll1W0PGW&rmvSB=true
Mind as well look snazzy & have something to cover up the mustard stains on the pot belly when shopping at coin shows.
