Young girl brought me the odd 'penny" she was given back as change for her morning coffee at the local convenience store...... ........it was a 1912 $2 1/2 Indian in AU. Go figure.
When I was a kid (<10 years old) I was in a coin store and a customer came in with pretty much the same story!!!
Our coin club's Bourse Committee chairman got change back from a Walmart purchase a few years ago and didn't even need a glass to see what he got. A 1972 DDO cent in AU. the "good" one too. Why doesn't stuff like that happen to me? I have three 55 gal blue plastic drums filled with pre 1982 copper cents and I have never found one. Found great stuff in bags I have bought over the years but never from change on the street. Sorry if I high jacked the thread again.
