Just wondering what US note in crisp condition that you always wanted but could not be able to actually afford to put the money down for at this time. Heck with saving for months, I'm talking about right now - Post your fantasy note pic!
I always wanted this Indian SC note - beautiful!

I sold one of these $5 notes that was so worn I was shocked when the guy offered 375. For it .....it belonged to my uncle. And he asked me to sell it for him. And yes a very cool note.

About a year into switching from collecting coins to paper currency, I saw this note come up for auction. It was in May 2007, a Heritage Signature Auction. Up until then the most I'd spent on a note was $100. This note for over $37,000, and hasn't been seen since. I'd LOVE to own this note some day. A series 1882 brown back with serial #1 First National Bank of Tampa (charter 3497) in About Uncirculated condition. Just recently I picked up a proof intaglio printing of an engraving on the back of the note.

Anything with Charles H. Treat's signature (he's a documented but distant relative of mine), particularly this:

This exact note is for sale here, currently for $8900. :)

You didn't say I had to be reasonable.

Neat that you're related to Treat, Paul.

I would like to have a $100,000 note w/serial #00000000 and "Specimen" printed in red.

We both have excellent taste! The Treasury Dept. display at large coin shows has a sheet of these. Thant's where I saw them.

Only in circulation for 26 days in 1962 before a currency reform gave us the "Won" currency that is now in use in South Korea.

Actually, I'd like this one, with the printing number "3". Collectors in Korea will pay around least $8,000+ for it.

I don't collect and don't know zip about bills, but I would love to have a gold certificate just for its history.
