Find any gems lately

    Just picked up two rolls of pennies from my local Walgreens and I don't even have to open the roll to know I found the gem

    Good catch! Aren't we coin collectors an interesting bunch? The sight of a Wheatie makes our heart start to pound. Life is good!

    More for you guys to find the wheaties. Unless it is a rare or really great coin, I catch and release those suckers. I just went through ten rolls of cents and found three that went right back in my spend group. One was a 58, one a 56D, and one was in the 40s. Nothing worthwhile for me to deal with. :)

    Finding a 55+ year old coin in circulation is still pretty awesome though.

    True. I also found a 1941 Nickel and a 1964 D Nickel I will likely keep. The 1964D I have to look closer and see if it a rpm: I think it is possible, but haven't looked closely enough at the mm.
