error wheat

hi everyone! i was going through my wheaties today and found this one. its a 1940, and looks like there is a dent on back. however when you run your finger across it, it does not feel like a dent and it is not bulging on front. there are letters missing where this dent is also. i haven't seen anything like this, so help me out!

The pic is pretty small, but it looks like it has very uneven wear, either that or some kind of error. I can't see any dents.

 

is it worth anything over a couple cents?

 

If the weight is normal, then it's a "struck-through" error, probably a "grease strike".

I go along with Mike too. Looks like a strike through IMO. Very nice find. Put it on ebay, see what you can get on it. I'll leave the wording on how you should list it too Treashunt.

no, the head on the reverse is fine, its just the back thats like that.

 

but does the flat spot on the reverse match up where the head is on the obverse?

 

whats the weight?

 

i think it did. i have misplaced it.
