Recently bought a 1878s Morgan and 1963d Roosevelt.

Still plan to investigate my 1982 penny. It can be copper. There's a coin dealer I trust not too far away. He'll give me an honest opinion.

1982's were minted in both copper and copper plated zinc. There is no need to take it to a dealer to have it checked out.

Build a teeter totter with an icecream stick placed over a dowel, or something similar. Take a pre-'82 cent and place it on one end, and the '82 in question on the other end. If you 'balance', your '82 is copper. If not, it's a zincoln ..........

They made 7 different cents in 1982, 8 if you count the proof. Crazy year.

Okay. I wasn't going to buy again for a while but had no choice. the coins said "buy me". I bought a 1921 Morgan for $18 and a 1964 Kennedy proof set in the original envelope for $24.

Local coin shop or online ? Did you just get back into collecting, just starting, or been active a while ?

They were local coin shops. I worked at one of them. I'm just starting over. Really missed collecting.

I have a cookie can tin full of world coins. They're separated mostly and in plastic bags. I paid $35 but if someone would like them would sell for $25 plus shipping.
