    I have been looking at a few items to purchase from the Mint and I just assumed that there would be no shipping charges because the government has franking privileges. Guess I was wrong.

    Maybe you think the US Mint ships with the US Postal Service?

    Of my 3 recent orders, 2 went FedEx and 1 went UPS.

    Nah, most of them will be shipped out to the embalmers and placed in their nice little plastic tombs that will slow the toning to a crawl.

    And while there are some very nicely toned ASE's, most of them are not.
