Hmmmm, apparently this song has my attention this week ... ... yah, it's kinda funny which songs catch my eye, eh? (I'll probably hate it by next week?!)
^^^Funny song, but the singer's neck and hands are freaking me out. Please tell me those aren't tattoos... Message to Blurryface: You're stressed out? Wah wah wah. Get a real job. And get off my lawn
Sure, maybe they're not quite as shiny as they were back in the day ... => but some ancient things are still awesome!! (a bit worn-out at times, but still pretty awesome) ....... but sadly, sometimes you can't quite tell where they're from!! Aquileia, or Constantinople?
Ahhh, good times. 18 years old, drove 100 miles on the spur of the moment to see Walsh in concert, bought scalped tickets (3rd row, best concert seats I'd ever had at the time). It was a fantastic show.
I can't sleep ... man, I hate not sleepin' ... oh, but at least I did remember this sweet ol' John Prine winner ... ... I hope that you dudes are sleeping soundly
Wow, I'm dead-center of my young party-years with this 70's classic ... Man, I'm a bit surprised that I survived those hazy years (partying extremely hard and doin' some pretty dumb things => the good ol' invincible teen years, eh?) ... good times ...
I've been super lucky lately and have added some coins to my collection that I'm really proud of. Added are a couple songs that get me as excited as the coins do. Get your mute buttons ready! Antoninus Pius, AD 138-161 AE, As, 27mm, 9.3g; 2h; Rome, AD 148-149 Obv.: ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XII; Laureate head right, aegis on left shoulder Rev.: MVNIFICENTIA AVG; elephant walking right with trunk raised In Ex.: COS IIII SC MVNIFICENTIA AVG refers to the games he held during the celebration of his vota decenallia (AD 149).
Well I did just post the coin below but there wasn't a song with it and this just feels right... Hiero II, 270-215 BC Æ27, 18.4g, 6h; Sicily, Syracuse, circa 230-218/5 BC. Obv.: Diademed head of Hiero left, beardless. Rev.: Horseman prancing right, holding couched spear, Σ In Ex.: ΙΕΡΩΝΟΣ
The Brettii, Bruttium AE, reduced uncia, 23mm, 8.3g; 3h; BC 211-208 Obv.: Laureate head of Zeus right, thunderbolt behind Rev.: BPETTIΩN; Warrior advancing right holding spear and shield, at feet, owl flying right This coin's song has some language that would be inappropriate for this forum but it would have been Pantera's "The Underground in America/Sandblasted Skin." I imagine the warrior on the reverse is excited and ready for combat and that song puts me in the same mood. This song should make for a good second place. Again, have the mute at the ready!
Brother-Zed totally took me back in time with that sappy Alice Cooper flashback ... awesome!! (here is the album cover) ... this was the final Alice album that I bought (I had bought all of his previous winners) ... Pretties for You Easy Action Love It to Death Killer School's Out Billion Dollar Babies Muscle of Love Welcome to My Nightmare Alice Cooper Goes to Hell => Love It to Death is when he really hit his stride!! ... ahhhh, memories *edit* ... I couldn't get the video to work properly
Can't argue with that! He even had a few decent tunes after '76 . I'll fess up on being a fan from the late '80s glam metal days, but it was his old back catalog that made him the hero of my teen years. I caught him in concert a few years back and the man still rocks!
