Mintage of 13,000 and pretty so it's pretty valuable but the series keeps getting more and more costly as you go up in denomination. There's a silver dollar size 5 mark and gold 10 & 20 mark that are really up there. The 10 mark had a mintage of 2,000 and 20 mark had a mintage of 1,500. We all know how accurate Krause is but the 20 mark is listed at $10,000 in XF.
yup just looked it up too. German New Guinea KM#6 1894A 2 mark, mintage-13,000 , .900 silver grade/value F-$125.00 VF-$250.00 XF-$465.00 UNC.-$950.00 Krause values may differ than real life values. what do you think you coins grade is ? XF-AU ? what do you think the real market value is ? I think it is a very nice coin.
I think mine is VF30ish. I've always thought $400-500 but I don't really know. I just checked on eBay and there weren't any similar sold or listed right now. Many more 5 marks available for some reason.
You can say that again! My 6th edition Standard Catalog lists it running from $125 for a fine to $1450 for BU.
