Hello folks, this is part of my haul from the show today. Boy was it packed!! I'm guessing the nice weather here in Ohio brought people out and about.
Here we have slabs from the top 3, can you guess the ms65 in the crowd?? IMAG0673_1.jpg IMAG0683_1.jpg IMAG0674_1_1.jpg IMAG0685_1.jpg IMAG0677_1.jpg IMAG0686_1.jpg IMAG0680_1.jpg IMAG0690_1.jpg warning: VERY TRICKY!!!
(Sidenote-the non 65s are lower grades) Good Luck:troll:

Impossible to grade from any of those pictures ... sorry.

From those pictures, which don't show the coins at their best, there are two that stand out for me--the 1880s and the 1881s. They both look frosty and beautiful.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again HCMV: your pictures are not good enough to give reliable or accurate grades from. You could tell me that any of those grade anywhere between 63 and 66, and I would not be surprised.

I had a feeling you would take the easy way out on this one, which is harder than a gtg, because any or all 4 of these could be a ms65. Different TPGs and standards play a role here too. I know the images aren't the best, I used natural lighting from a window on this one, which gives them that in-hand look. I can see all the luster, rub, bag marks, scratches and frost breaks in the photos that I can see in-hand(what else do you need?). Yes, coin 2 and 4 have cameo proof like fields with some toning which make it harder to see every tick, so go ahead, and, keep your good reputation as a expert grader as opposed to epically failing this exam as we both know you would.. :troll:

Taunting me won't work. You can see everything on the coin because you have it in hand, and know what you are looking at. But trust me, these pictures look nothing like a coin in hand would. PL fields only makes it harder (both to take good pictures, and to guess an accurate grade from these pics). It has nothing to do with my reputation - it has everything to do with the point I am trying to make (that is - if there aren't accurate pictures, don't try to guess the grade). In reality, I could guess, and I could give reasons for my guesses, but I wouldn't be confident in these guesses because there are so many inaccuracies in the pictures. I'm sorry if this sounds haughty, or harsh, but it is the truth.

Ok, I'll admit, coins 2&4 images are bad...
Here are new, more better obverse photos of those 2 IMAG0697_1.jpg IMAG0696_1.jpg

From the pictures alone without having the coin to compare it to it is essentially impossible to tell the difference between an hit/scrape and a frost break without just guessing which one you think it is.

Alright, this is way harder thru images than in-hand.... I wanted to share my new purchases while boasting about the undergraded coin I got, all in one thread......
