physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Are you asking a question about the coin? Is this a recent purchase? Or are you just showing us an ugly coin?

I'm really not sure why you posted this coin?

This thing needs some verdicare NOW.

once you get off those ugly green spots you got a $3-$4 coin.

I am thinking about buying some Verdi care for some of my coppers with the green guck on them. Any thoughts?

It's a great product when used properly, but don't expect miracles. I would suggest that you check Thads eBay listings or website to get a better idea of what the product is designed to do. I have had very good results using it.

Hahahaha I love this advice! In my opinion, trying to spend it at McDonalds and getting the cashier flustered is worth more than whatever price you could sell it for. I can imagine the excitement trying to convince the cashier that it's not foreign (I mean it's not like it has "United States of America" on it....).

Perhaps I have a perverse sense of humor.

This just shows how different I am, I look at that coin and wonder where it's been, how many times it has been spent, and what would the cumulative value of it's trades would be. To lose that coin, to some in it's possession, could have been devistating. Though I wouldn't give much for it, I wouldn't throw it out either. The average hourly labor wage in 1865 was around 12 cents, which means half were paid lower and I can imagine some way lower. I'd call it sweaty.
