Unc details if those lines are on the coin . 62 if they're on the slab . They treated these pretty rough , nothing like most commemorative s .
Well it is uncirculated , I don't think it's in a details slab as I think the luster is there . I'll go with a 65 in my second guess , though clearer pics sure would help .
Well; without further ado, here he is: And the story that makes this one special, he is the one who completed the set.
A complete collection in OGH? Lovely coin and I was a bit harsh with my grade. Low mintage (6000?) too........
I know you are working on one too, if you haven't already completed it, I do sincerely hope you do soon. I traded some baseball cards for my first BTW about 9 months ago, and posted it and some others I got in the deal, in the new aquisitions thread, and got a response from @jello about how hard the set is to complete. I have read and studied a lot about the man and the coin since and he was right about the toughness. Am proud of this one. Just have to complete some others now.
I'm in the process of fulfilling a PCGS registry......for my own amusement. Like a peak? http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/mysetregistry/mycollection.aspx?c=136829
Believe it or not, I'm not registered, but maybe I will soon. While working on my set, I got a Washington Carver coin in a deal. As these things seem to drive my desire, I now lack 3 coins completing that set.
Was this the face that launched a thousand ships? Booker? No, indeed, but I still enjoy the search...........
