Not to nitpick, but Transylvania was in Romania, not Hungary. Nice coin, you can see that it was very well struck before being well circulated. :thumb:
1848a Km2028 This is weird. My father was the the only remaining namesake for his family and so ended up with a lot of the family "things". I have subsequently inherited them. One of the items is a coin that family lore says my great-great grandfather wore around his neck when coming to America from Germany in the 1850's. There is absolutely no evidence to back this up. According to my research, it is an Austrian 20 kreuger, 1848A coin and it does fit the time frame. Oh well, it puts a little story behind the coin!!!
