Got this at the bank for a buck, apparently the teller didn't have a clue what it was only that it was a dollar. found these in the reject tray on the coin counter
Nice find! I've always believed that most silver that enters the market as you described was likely from a home robbery. IE: House is broken into, coin is found in drawer, crook gets thirsty and purchases a Big Gulp from a 7-11 around-the-corner.
Hey rooman9, my son loves shiny things. I recently bought a little treasure chest at a garage sale and plan on putting a bunch of shiny $1 presidents inside for his birthday (after I check em for errors) I can't wait til July! Longarm, great day for you! We all love coins and that's one of the best face value buys I've ever seen!
Went by another branch of my bank this morning (hoping to get lucky again) , but they didn't have squat except a $200 bag of nickels that I got.
I used your photo as an illustration to my fiance'. I said, "just be thankful I don't come back to the house with 200 dollars worth of nickels. That's hardcore collecting, I occasionally bring home a roll or two. LOL. Let us know if you find anything good!
