I just used your instructions on 'navigating' CNG for an Autonomous issue Seleucis and Pieria, Tetradrachm, under Nero, and it worked a treat.
    Thank-you.

Hi TIF. I mainly collect US coin, but do have a few ancients to ID. What does AE stand for in your first post?

Ancient collectors use abbreviations for the metal used for the coin. They are short for Latin words for the metals.

AE copper or copper alloy, brass, bronze
    Au gold
    Ar silver
Bi billon or low grade silver
    Pb lead
    Ni nickel
Po potin pot metal of various sorts

AE means bronze/brass/copper; from the Latin "aes", which means roughly the same.

Thanks guys. Now I need to dig out my handful of ancients and start attributing them. I only need about 8 more hours in the day!

Perhaps we should petition for a 32 hour day, eh? I'm retired and still find it hard to accomplish all I want in 24 hours.

My favorite nap is the one right after breakfast.
