Assuming that a tonner is really a toner I didn't know that "professional toners" existed. Is this a position that shows up in the want ads? From now on whenever the wife and I fire up the oven coins are going in too. We can satisfy are appetite and generate income at the same time! As for people that are buying them "there's one born every minute". I'm sure many of the bidders think they are actually getting some outlandishly, naturally toned coins. Have you considered forwarding her response to ebay? Seems to me she's walking a thin line. Admitting to artificial toning but I don't see it mentioned in the auction. Could that be considered falsly representing the coin? Of course I doubt ebay would do anything that could affect the bottom line.
All you need is a lightbulb. Set the coin on a lightbulb and watch it change colors. A lot depends on the watts of the bulb. My 2 cents...
Yep, I have a PCI two cent piece that has "questionable toning". First thing my dealer said was blow torch. Good call!
The scary thing is that this fraud crap will be pawned of on unsuspecting newbies and "investors". Maybe the investors will buy the nonsense they crave....
