Just found a 2005 Bahamas Twenty-Five cent piece, BU. In change at a convenience store. :smile :smile :smile :smile
V-nickel My wife found a 1912 liberty head nickel in change today. It is in vg I would guess. I'll try and post some pics later.
latest find i found two 35% silver nickels recently at a cafeteria. that's my latest discovered after so many years.
i am starting to see less and less state quarters and more 60's and 70's in VF or better condition coming from all manner of places. i'm wondering if the state quarters are being culled from circulation more since the series is winding down or if more people are dumping coin jars and banks or a combination of the 2. my bank has a free coin counter/deposit machine - the tellers are saying they are filling as many quarter bags in a week as they did in a month a few months ago - those bags hold $1000.00! -Steve
my dad got a 1946 nickel in his change a few days ago. he gave it to me. another one to throw into the hoard!:goofer:
I thought it was very cool and by far the oldest coin I have plucked from circulation. (But my wife still gets the credit. She finds more silver than I do also )
Silver!! I just went to the bank to get another roll of Adams dollars and happened to glance at the tellers coin tray and saw some silver in the halves. I ended up with two 1983 clad halves, a ms/au 1964 half with a few carbon spots and a 1976 S silver half. It's not a proof, but definately silver.:thumb:
Yesterday while going thru a few of my Lincolns I came accross 3 1941-s Large S and a 1936 DD Obverse #2. Seeing I looked at these in the 70's - how did I miss them?
