I just bought a 1999-2008 set of supposed mint state P state quarters off my Aunt, i'll not say what I paid but it was to help a family member out so im cool with what I paid. I see there are bag marks on a couple of the coins but for the most part they all do seem to be in mint state. The question is should I grade them myself, are high grade state quarters even worth it?

I doubt it. The 'uncut' sheets of $2 bills that they deceived my elderly grandfather into purchasing are worth a few bucks over face value in my opinion. I'm afraid that State Quarters due to their huge mintages and high preservation rates will be similar. These guys are the worst of the worst in my opinion, with high pressure tactics which play up the coins as investments to undereducated buyers.

Anybody know if they are still in operation? Last I heard a few years back they were operating out of Canton, OH.

They have 2015 ASEs for sale on their website, so I think they're still operational somehow. I searched their address and oddly enough right now I'm about 20 minutes away from their location in Canton. Small world, eh?

Ugh. I was hoping that they went out of business. They got a lot of money from the State of Ohio in tax incentives for locating their HQ in Canton. Something about adding to the local economy through employing people. Makes me want to vomit. These types of operations should under no circumstances should ever get any tax incentives whatsoever.

I didnt figure they would be, She said she bought it several years ago when her husband was still alive because he was into coin collecting. Thats why I hate these types of companies they take advantage of people who have no knowledge of the hobby that think they are doing something nice. Oh well I'll put it in the closet and pass it on to someone maybe by then it'll be worth something.
