That's my problem as well. I absolutely love his stuff but the premiums are more than i'd pay unfortunately
This piece had a mintage of only 95. The cost was $75, which is well above the spot price for 1.5 ounces of silver, but I did not buy it to stack silver.

Honestly, I don't get it. I like it and the $125 issue is ok but I wouldn't buy this or the 2016 for $300-400. Don't get me wrong, you all know I'm a "Carr boy" but I'm flabbergasted by this.
I doubt I would pay $300+ for them either, but you bet your butt I am a buyer at issue price. The mintage numbers are so small, and there are enough carr collectors, that it is almost a guarantee to go up in value. I have 2 of the 2016 owls.
I'm not that surprised by it. More people are becoming aware that these were made and want them. Hopefully the set continues on, after a few years a complete collection will be quite a pleasing sight
I am guessing this was someone who ordered the 2016 Owl and was blown away by it so much they had to have the 2015.
