The lack of denticles on the reverse scares me. Wait for someone who knows more about this type. Odds are, its not real.

Are they asking anywhere near the Greysheet estimate?

IMHO... if it's that old... in that nice of a condition...and not slabbed... it's fake.

Reverse doesn't look like any I've seen, especially from looking at the wrong coin!!

The coin is a counterfeit and the reason you give for it being bad is ridiculous! Open your eyes! Google 1795 Draped Bust dollar and hit images. You may be in for a BIG surprise.

Now, let's get some EDUCATED opinions so I can learn something from this coin. PLEASE?

It's hard to learn anything from fakes on a forum. People wont post the reasons, in fear those reasons will be used to make better fakes

NUTS. This piece is so crude the fakers surpassed it in quality almost ten years ago. It's too bad we cannot see the edge too. Then you would understand my comments.

Terrible Chinese Fake. Ever see a mint mark or date like that.

PS All you need to do in the future is look at identical coins on the Heritage site and in many cases you will be able to decide for yourself...no matter your skill level.

So how did Meshal Ahmed Massa, who just joined today, acquire 2 fake coins? Maybe he was just testing out his counterfeiting skills by asking opinions on how they looked? Conspiracy theory #2 - :blackalien::greyalien:
