Personally I would wait, save up a little more to afford an example with more eye appeal. These N.African $10 SC's look so much better in higher grades with the yellow seal and blue "10" against a background of clean, white paper. Even just a couple grades higher makes a big difference.

Well, buying only graded notes is fine but remember: "Buy the note and not the holder." Stay at it and learn, learn, learn how to grade and put your opinion into the mix of deal making. Oh, $50 seems a good deal.
