I'm seeing wear and high point rub. And more than a touch. I'm at 53 I see decent luster but not that of a unc coin. A clear au to me

Once again I am not ragging on the coin, if you go to the poll and split it down the middle 15 say low end Au/xf and 9 say high end Au or better. Your post #7 sez and I quote "unc. Enough " this coin isn't unc.
And if you consider this an unc. Coin well let me know Because I have a ton of coins in this condition I be more then willing to let go at unc. Prices.
Or you can put up the TPG fees and send it in for the professionals to end this once and for all.
I'm sorry but I am old school.......from a day and place TPG didn't exist . And besides.....how many time on this forum has someone posted graded coins that were anything but what is on the tag,....how many times has a tag been posted with an error. Yes we all are human and yes humans make mistakes. Yes there is a term called slider no way this coin could slide from an xf/Au to an unc.
And finally when you post a coin with an poll or a question asking how many members of the forum to give it an option what do you expect to happen?
You are entitled as well as other to their opinions ....it doesn't mean we need to agree just respect others views.

Agreed o_O except for The LOW AU opinions :D

And one other thing to consider...our opinions are just that . A TPGS opinion has more weight in spite of what we think :wideyed:. AND...The way (standards) all of us older "salts":oldman: learned/graded in the past is valid only for ourselves and on chat boards NOT in the commercial market where TPGS's and professional dealer's grading standards reign.

For those of you who have never heard the term "Unc Enough," it refers to a coin that is not actually uncirculated; but one that will sell/grade (low MS) all day, every day by professionals who MAKE A LIVING buying/selling/grading more coins in several months than 100% of collectors will see in a decade. That's all :cigar:

Can you give it an acetone bath (if that's something you allow for your coins)?

I see some toning that appears to be subdued, and some crud.

It should make it more attractive and easier to see the surface, IMO.

And, maybe that diagonal streak will fade.

IMO, this is a good candidate for "full" conservation. If the initial review finds no cleaning and the under coin is "Unc Enough":hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: and it is determined that removing the color will not reveal too much loss of luster - it gets a 3-step dip.

Trust me there are "doctors":artist: out there who could get a coin with this detail "thru" (providing nothing in the paragraph above exists).;)

I don't think this would market grade as a MS coin , even today I'm at AU-53 . Just too much "rub" and not enough luster to call this an MS coin .
