HaHa!!! I have finally after several months finished my 20th century type set! I purchases about the highest grade I could afford on most of the coins, and I upgraded some several times. Aiden: Actually, they are silver clad, similar to the silver clad of the half dollars from 1965-1940. Quoted (mostly) from the Guide Book/Red Book: Under the Bicentennial quarters: silver: 5.75 grams, composition outer layer of .800 silver, .200 copper bonded to inner core of .209 silver, .791 copper, net weight .0739 oz pure The half dollars & Ike dollars are the same composition.
