I wanna make sure I'm not talking myself out of something I shouldn't pull the trigger on. Then again, I wanna make sure that if I do pull the trigger that I pay the right price.

Give your grade opinion and your reason behind it.

Not that I'm a Washington Quarter pro, but it looks at least a 66 to me. I find that that example has better eye appeal than a PCGS 67 that Heritage sold back in December.
There are a few hits at the base of the bust obverse, and some minor chatter at the high points on the eagle on the reverse, but that's about it. Fields are squeaky clean.
    Nice coin.

Nice looking coin. I'd say it's MS-65 due to a few minor scratches on the obverse and on the Eagle's leg on the reverse. Looks like MD in the motto "In God We Trust". Possibly starting to tone a pale champagne. :)

I like it at 65, I would try to get it for 64 $$$ just to be safe

Not my series but I'm at 65 due to the few small marks on the profile

Well based upon the photo the luster looks good which is critical in getting over a 65. The fields look good and there are a few minor hits on the coin, but I would grade it at a 66. Even if PCGS did not grade it at a 66, submit it again. I would not pay 66 money for it unless it was already slabbed. The coin does look clean, but personally I prefer a little color with my coins.

@NorCalJack Thanks for weighin' in. I wondered if I'd get your opinion on it.

Thanks to everyone for weighing in on this. As it sits right now this coin will not be coming home to me. It went just over MS65 money this morning at 1:30 AM. I'm bummed...I really like it, but this is one of those times where if I were going to spend what I think its actually worth, I'd want it in my hands.

I personally think its a solid MS66. I've looked at a lot of gem quarters and the two things a 66 Washington MUST have are clean fields and awesome luster, this coin has both. The strike is decent it has great eye appeal, its clean and there really is nothing distracting on the coin. To me even the ticks that are there aren't too distracting...If anything I'd be a toss up as NorCalJack mentioned, if it didn't grade a 66 then resubmit. I just cant pay 66 money for the coin without seeing it in hand.

MS63 due to numerous scratches on both the obverse and the Reverse.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The marks on the eagle's legs are too severe to get 66. 65 is where this coin tops out.

    66/64, I'd like an O/R grading system. (net 65)
