If you were offered a 1961, 1962 and 1963 franklin half, all unc, for $23, would you take it?

I don't know, that's pretty close to their actual value. You won't be making a killing or anything...

Pretty reasonable, considering the free shipping.

I agree that it would really depend on how UNC they are....you can get a nice one in UNC for pretty close to melt---last time I looked under $5.
And there are some good deals to get.....I paid $5 for a 1962-D and it came back MS65FBL from NGC....

I agree with the other posters. Franklins, Kennedy's, Washingtons, Roosy's, etc. for the years 1961 and above are easy to get in UNC condition at just above melt. At the average price of $8 that you gave, you should be able to pick up really nice examples at your dealer or a coin show and have the advantage of checking it out yourself.

However, I also agree that now is the time to be picking up these 1960's bargains - they won't be around forever.

No, unless the coins are certified and graded MS65 or higher. Otherwise, it's still common to find those dates in raw and uncirculated condition for around $5.
