I've got a dilemma I would like an opinion on. I'm not normally a flipper, but I did buy 2 2006 w unc. Gold 4 coin sets last year, thinking that with the low mintage, I would sell one right away for a profit and keep the other. If you haven't watched sites like ebay, the set is just stagnating. I would like to purchase the 3 coin platinum anniversary set if it becomes available, but my funds will allow me to either keep the gold for awhile or sell and buy the platinum.
The questions I have is whether you think I should dump one of the 4 coin gold sets in order to finance the platinum anniversary set, or should I hang on to the gold, hoping it will appreciate.

You could sell the two ounce ounce coins and keep the other six if you want. That way you have the best of both sets.

I never considered that one. I figured that the set as a whole would be worth more, but with the 1/4 and 1/2 being the keys, that's a great idea. Thanks!
