    Dont worry Jello,

I hope you don't bank on this one. I've been on the same list almost 20 years

That just means you will finally get it this year and then send directly to me. So thoughtful! [emoji41]

I got these from the bargain bin at my coin dealer for 4 dollars. 1 dollar for the half dime and three dollars for the dime :). image.jpg image.jpg

Half dime looks like a large date not sure about the 1857.
Google seated coins variety Gary site should be listed.

Actually if that black crud comes off with acetone I'd almost be tempted to send that half dime in for grading. Would be a good one for a lowball type set

I would have it graded half dimes are worth getting graded if not cleaned. This one don't look like has been.

I compared the half dime with some pictures online and inspected it with my magnifying glass, and I believe it is a large date. Does anyone know what a coin in this condition is worth? It appears to have a dent in the middle. image.jpeg image.jpeg

Wow, that dealer must be really clueless. Watch that bin, there could be an 1894-S dime for $4!

    Here's some trivia:

What date of Seated Dime is sometimes termed the "Orphan Annie Dime"?
