Show me the OP's coin in a slab.........problem solved! What am I saying, if PCGS will grade this they might grade anything. http://www.coinworld.com/news/us-co...ruck-on-nail-heritage-auctions-fun-sale.html#
The subject of the link was recently discussed at length, but the nails, helped of not, are believed to have still come out the mint. On the other hand, ANACS already slabs "not copied" copies, so perhaps they'd be your best bet. (Kidding, of course...)
I know, I started the thread back in Dec. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/er...ail-is-headed-to-auction.272090/#post-2299991
Not quite just a novelty they were given these out at the door at the Seattle Tacoma coin show in 2002
Now it makes a bit more sense...I have a novelty "mini nickel" laying around somewhere that also had a clashed die appearance like the OPs coin...I'm not really sure what the point of the thread was though if the OP knew it was miniature all along?
