I can't find any recent listings on ebay, anyone have any idea on the value? Pretty beat up but with only 128,000 made I know it will command some sort of premium
I don't collect paper money, but just like coins, condition plays a big role in value. This note has folds and dog ears working against it. Chris
Obviously it's not GEM, but just as with coins, you can have a worn down beat up coin and it will still command a premium multiple times face value just because of the rarity of the bill/coin
Agreed, but only because it is a $1 note. If it were a $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100, I don't know about multiple times face value. Chris
$5 and $10 bills can also carry a premium of multiple times face value depending on condition and rarity. $20, $50, and $100 usually don't carry as much of a premium because of the face value already tied up. Much more expensive to collect 12 differnt $50's vs 12 differnt $5's
