    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

I recently finished my type album (I'll be posting about that soon) and have been thinking about starting a uncirculated collection of a silver coin. I chose Frankling halves becuase it's a shorter series where the UNC pieces will be afordable, thus I can at least get a complete collection. I want a book on them before I start to buy, any suggestions on a good book, not too technical though?

That is the book, but I'd stay away from the fbl pieces as they can get pricey fast, start with your '49-S and your '52-S first

Yeah, I don't need FBL's. What about the whitman book about Franklins?

If you want my truthful opinion about the subject, when I set out to study any coin I buy all of the books about it. But few people ever seem willing to go to that extent. So in those cases I always recommend what I think is the single best book on the subject.

I fully agree, buy the book(s) first.
    I buy them all, also.
