i keep every copper cent i find, but i have a quite of a hoard and was wondering about it. will it be worth to keep these? i save any cent 1968 and before, but i am starting to roll up the 1969-1982 ones. i keep all the S mintmarks also. i am thinking about turning the 1969-1982 cents into the bank. do you think i should do it?

If you've already gone through the trouble of keeping them I wouldn't turn them in. How much money is it tying up though?

Maybe you can sell them on EBay as "rolls of partially searched" cents. ;)

You could say that you haven't searched them for anything except year and mintmark. :D

Wind the clock back to May 1960. You post the following: "I'm saving all my lincolns before 1940. Do you think I should keep all the wheatbacks 1959 and before since they've just changed the design?"

I think the the answer to that question and end-result will be the same.

I can see E-bay in 2050 where you will be able to buy lots of "unsearched old-style cents from the 20th century". Oh, and they'll all be coming from the sales of OUR estates :)
