image.jpeg image.jpeg This was one that didn't really do it for me either. I sold it a couple months ago. Was real and original. But had no pop now I need to find a much nicer replacement

Well from the photograghs, i see black (what looks to be dirt) in the deeper crevices like maybe it was rubbed. I also see a dull silver color with lack of luster. From the pictures i formed an opinion that to me it looked cleaned. If i saw that coin for sale i would purchase it anyway just so i could see it in hand.

However, being a collector of 16 years and only 23 years of age, I have purchased my fair share of cleaned coins. Now please with all of your wisdom that you seem to have, please educate me as to why this coin has not been cleaned. Like i said, im only 23, i do not yet know all there is to know. So please tell me why my opinion of this mercury dime is wrong, and simply why it is an opinion, and not a fact. Thank you.

I love that kind of toning on Morgans. I buy those before shiny blasting white ones. Yours has very nice toning.

I love this one, although not everybody digs the color of the toning:

I like the crusty look on this one, I guess for most it would be terminal toning.......

I don't know why someone would not like Silver Kookaburras, they are my favorite kind of bullion.

I've seen this before and probably even posted as much before, but this is one of the most beautiful Walkers I've seen, hands down. No idea why anybody who loves toners wouldn't fall in love with it. (Here's an idea: get one of those non-toner-lovers to find any nice, original toned Walker. That'll give them a new appreciation for this piece.)

I was going to guess it was an adjustment strike. Also, nice lamination.

Funny how this thread is almost exclusively toning rather than design but I guess in the US forum that's how it had to go. Totally different responses in a different forum.

I'm blown away by this one but understand it might not be for everyone.

The contrast on the coin certainly accentuates it as well.

One of my favorite Morgan's. Not a monster toner, but I just love the "end roll" look to this one. The coppery center toning really "lights up" when you tilt it on an angle.
I also like the indigo on the rims 1-6 o'clock.

Very nice coin. :) The good thing about it not being a "monster toned" piece is that it was probably nice and affordable.

I wish I had pictures of my single, solitary, rainbow Morgan. It's also not a crazy monster toned piece, but it features nice rainbows on both sides. One of these days Real Soon Now(tm), I'm gonna get it imaged.

I've never seen a peace dollar with that good of strike. I like the surfaces too

Pretty much everyone on this forum hated this coin when I owned it. I thought it was a beautiful coin and hated to sell it.

I bought the coin way back in 2002 in a Heritage auction for $448 and I sold it in 2012 for $529.

Nice one! And eight tailfeathers too! I love those various reverses...
