1962 D Cent DDR or PMD?

    Found this cent with what I thought may be DD on the F on the reverse. It looks like it may have split serifs that have been worn down, but also looks like a 'cut' in the letter. The 'cut' looks hollow inside at a few spots shown in picture (10).
    I would assume PMD.

    It doesn't look like a split serif to me. This is what a split serif should look like.

    It looks like machine doubling to me with a small die break at the corner.
