I have (2) PCGS MS-64 $50 Gold Eagles recover from the world trade center. One is a 1991 the other is a 1997. I was offered $1000.00 a piece for the coins, does this seem accurate?

I'd take the money and run.

Forgive me for being blunt, but I wouldn't want those tasteless "mementos" in my house.

Give the buyer a phony name/address/phone so he can't find you when he gets the inevitable buyers' remorse.

For that price - I would definitely sell.

How much did they cost? The silver eagles went for $50.00 ea. which is about 5X normal.

Are these the $50 gold eagles? Gold is at 400+ an ounce. For a grand, I would take the cash and run.
