CoinTalk Member Photos

I would like to start a thread where people can submit photos of themselves.
This seems important to me as I would like to see if I might recognize someone at a coin show or auction.
Also, I might not bid as high on something if another CoinTalk member is bidding on the same item and that person is known for that particular type of coin.

So here we go....
Sticky this if you like.

Oh, and I usually wear a Cincinnati Bengals ball cap.

A member's photo function is already an established part of CoinTalk.

To add your own photo to your profile

• Click on "User CP" at the top of any page
• Click on "Edit Profile Picture" in the column of links at the left of the page
• Attach a photo of yourself.

To see another member's photo

• Click on the member's name at the top of any of his/her posts
• Click on "View Profile" in the dropdown box
• IF the member has added a photo, it will appear at the upper right of his/her profile.

IMHO using that function is a much more efficient way to view member photos than creating a thread that will either drop off the current radar screen, or become very long and difficult to navigate.

I notice that the originator of this thread has chosen to put a cartoon in that spot rather than his own photo.

Aside from the fact that you were probably typing when my post went up, I don't see any disrespect in it, intended or not. My intent was not to stop people from posting in this thread, but just to offer what I believe is simply a better alternative that many members might not be aware of.

I should have known that you were sharp enough to see the times at which posts were entered.
Just don't like to take too many things for granted.

I knew there had been another thread on the same topic, but I couldn't find it with keyword searches.

I just thought everyones pics in a sticky thread may be a valuable tool to recognize one another.
I guess I will do as you suggest and click on everyones names to see if they have a pic.
As far as the "cartoon", I made it as a signature but it appears that images are not allowed in the signature area.

BTW... A LOT of people seem to have a cartoon in their profiles.
