I was just looking at the very first image in this thread. Well matched coins such as this look killer to me in a Dansco. Stick in a bright looking coin and it kills that look. Same with Barbers. It's not easy to build a set of matching coins.
Agreed. I have to downgrade a few of my 1941-1947 ones and I have another few where the look isn't quite right. It's a never ending process.
What you have just completed is really remarkable , being that you cannot find any in circulation and have to purchase or trade something . The 21-d was my last one to purchase ( 01-02-2014 ) in Colorado . It really took a load off my shoulders . Wonderful job .
