No offense, Rick, but how do you convince someone that your photo is an EDS when the close-up distorts so much of the image? The shadows, alone, hide some of the detail.

The one on coppercoins has lost it's roundness on LIBE, to where mine is still nice and round in thoses lettering .

So are the rest of the images on my coin a lot rounder then the one on coppercoins too ...

They sure don't look round to me. Are they just distorted by the close-up?

That's not it Rick. If you notice the pic from Coppercoins site shows the following:
The letter I in Liberty is so wide and thick that there is almost no daylight between the I and the B. In your case the I is thick but not at all like the one on the real doubled die. The stalk of the L, and B are much wider on the real one as well. Those 1982's can be deceiving.

I'll get some images up and see whats going on, just getting in from a long day, Coin show and all .

    On a good note, 74-D & 73-D Roosevelt(s) turn out good,
( DDOs) small, but good ....

I have to pickup a couple of lamps, this trouble light doesn't give off enough light for both sides of the coin .

It's not a doubled die. IGWT on some 1982's has a doubled effect right from the mint. I also found a trail die 1982, and the I in LIBE was wider than yours but not as wide as the DDO pic above. I actually sent that one to Mike Ellis who sent it back as MD.

It's nicely rounded features, a little incuse pit around the letters (common), but no actual doubling, or twisting. If you can't determine the direction of the doubling no one will attribute it. Is it rotated, slid, what class? I'm not seeing it. That's why I gave up on 1982's unless I find one of the few listed varieties. I would see a very strange one and think I had something, but I never did.
