We need better pictures, cropped so that we only see the coin, in focus, straight on, and of both sides of the coin.

 

Looks like a serious case of Environmental Damage. That's not a Dime minted on a Cent Planchet.

 

First, welcome to the neighborhood, Cathy!

Like Rick said, you need to crop the coin removing all of the unnecessary background and then resize the image. It is best to post images of both sides.

I suspect that your coin is nothing more than a "squeeze job", but until I see better photos, I am just guessing.

Okay! I was wrong, but thanks to paddy, we can see that the outer layer of nickel has been eaten away.

Also.. A blank Cent Planchet would not fit into a Dime chamber... it's usually the other way around.

FWIW, it is useless to use a poll when all you need is an explanation or valuation.
