Hello advid collectors. I do not collect many Us Coins due to access of US good coins. However I do have a few. I am having a problem with this Half dollar in getting a real value and grade to the coin as I am not used to US Grading of coins. Therefore I am looking for your help in this. Do appreciate any help you can give. Its a 1925 Pariot Half Dollar is excellent Condition. I am unable to put pic up as its 45 KB over what this site can handle. Size is 144KB the smallest my camera can handle.
I can e-mail or maybe post elsewhere for people that are interested.

    Regards

Thanks Aidan. I have found a place to do this. If anyone wishes to look at the coin you can go to:
    http://wayne1949.myphotoalbum.com
Click on coin to see Obverse and Reverse. Then you can click on coin again to enlarge.

I'm not very good at grading MS US coins, but it looks like at least an MS62-63 from here, with no signs of cleaning. :thumb:

(There do seem to be some light hairlines in the fields, especially at the lower left of the obverse.)

Maybe you can tell a little bit about the Loonie, one dollar coin. First minted in 1987 and it resembles our golden dollars in color.
Is this coin used in circulation? Is it fairly common?

Victor, the Loonie is like the New Zealand $1 coin - one of the most heavily used denominations.

    Wayne:

The 1925 Patriot Half Dollar that you list is actually a Lexington-Concord Sesquicentennial half dollar.
Issued for the 150th anniversary of the battles during the Revolutionary war.
Mintage of 162,013 it is valued at about $100 in almost uncirculated.

Frank, that coin is quite a scarce coin. The Minuteman on that $1/2 is very appropriate, because, according to the story,it was the Minutemen who fought off the Redcoats (British soldiers & American Loyalists).

Aiden, my mistake I hit the $ sign and missed the caps, it is $100, not 4100.

Thanks everyone for your help on the Half Dollar. I do agree with the comments and value.
For Victor yes the Loonie is verry common now and replaced the 1 Dollar bank note. They really don't have much value until yu get into the MS 63 condition and above. However there are some low mintage years out there and worth getting your hands on for the future. 1992 & 2002. The 25th Anniversary Loonie I see as becoming harder to get also,2005.
