Found this new holder on eBay this morning. First of all, I'm concerned that their overall quality is going down hill. There's also no way to check the coin in the database anymore. Too bad. I would almost consider a bid on this one if it was in a standard holder.

Just bid $20 for my collection. Probably worth $50-100 to rich large cent collector :)

Doesn't look like an early electro, more like a modern copy.

Funny but true. DECEPTIVE early 20th Century electros are very popular with advanced Colonial and Large cent collectors. I've reluctantly sold two of my duplicate colonial types for $$$.

I agree. Need to see edge. Nevertheless, it is worth $20 to me but I'm sure the sucker will refuse the offer.

I don't know! I have to question the authenticity of the holder. I believe that NGC uses flat-cinch staples.

I think you're right. PCGS used rounded very early on. NGC used flat. Chinese fake holders are getting more and more deceptive every day.

NGC got it wrong? If you can't trust the TPGs, who can you trust?

I just called ngc and reported this fake slab. Let's see how quick they are to pounce :hilarious::p

What's even more funny is that he also is selling coins in legitimate slabs (or what appears to be):woot:
